Notes on the Friday launch

Worldwide Dead will go live later in the day on Friday (US Eastern time). The launch will be preceded by a post here, shared on Discord and Reddit, so please refresh any of those instead of the game server. 🙏

Here are a few things you probably want to know before launch:

To claim your UD account names, see last post or the WWD Discord.

Beta testers will keep their existing accounts, but all progress has been reset. Since those accounts will be scattered in the same general area, there will be a grace period on zerging while everyone sorts themselves out. Just use your best judgement and you’ll be fine. Zerging is not allowed after the initial chaos has run its course.

The city will start with no ruins and all doors open. There are no wirecutter mechanics.

You can have up to 10 alts (currently) on your discord ID. You can switch between them by logging out, or by using the hidden hotswitch (someone on the discord might know where it is).

You can change your account name anytime you want. Account name history will be viewable on your profile.

The game is 95% feature complete. A list of missing features and a channel for bug reports are available on discord. Community feedback will shape the game going forward.
